School of Rock Tues Class Read-Thru

Well, this class was as much fun as it looks like it was from these pics!  We managed to get some work done in the midst of having a ball, and I look forward to more good laughs and a great show at the end of the semester!

Kylin ("Alicia") gives the camera a "hello!"

Nathan ("Dewey Finn") is singing "Green and Yellow, Green and Yellow" as he highlights his script, but he has so many lines that after a few minutes...

He's done.  Not with highlighting, just can't take anymore!

The girls are highlighting and discussing the art of the pink marker.

"It's your line!" 

"Whoa, chill out, Theo!  Take it down a notch" is the line Nathan ("Dewey") says to Alex ("Theo")

"Pleased to meet you, I'm Spyder," says Stephen, who plays "Spyder"-the guy who replaces "Dewey" in the band "Electric  Crush"

Uh-oh...Kaley started dancing...

These boys both play two characters in the show:  Stephen (left) is "Spyder" & "Zach," and Alex is "Theo" and "Leonard."  We'll try their rockstar wigs on next week...

Oh boy, here's where Nathan decides, against his teacher's wishes, to lean his chair back & prop it on another chair.  We'll see how that works out for him.

The boys have some funny lines.

The girls decided to trade some lines, which was a good decision based on their characters.

Nathan almost slips out of the chair, but luckily his buddy Stephen is there to hold him up.  Nathan's script unfortunately, was a casualty, one page completely ripped in half.  Jaelyn ("Summer") is amused.

Ta-dahh!  We taped Nathan's broken script back together, since he was unable to leave his chair.

Jaelyn makes a funny face-she's the master of goofy, although she's so pretty you'd never know that unless you come to the show!

Jaelyn wanted me to take a "Paparazzi" pic of her.  I played the Paparazzi like a charm, haha!

We're giving the girls a few more lines in one scene, which is why it's so important to bring a pencil with your script to every rehearsal!

Multi-tasking, Kylen uses her pink video camera to film while also reading lines.  What a performance!

Alex plays the most hilarious "Nerd"!  He's an actor who has worn many faces.

Nathan might fall, wait-oh no---"OOOOHHHHHHH!"

And he's okay!  OOOOHHHHHHH!

Jaelyn has some of the hardest lines to say as "Summer," the class factotum-turned band manager.

Nathan starts slipping, we're still reading lines, but Kaley starts giggling here...

Uh-oh, the giggles have really set in now....

Good thing we're done with the read-thru, so we can help our buddy Nathan out from his self-made predicament.

He's slipping, yet stuck in the chair!  Kaley is off-camera, still giggling.

...And she's probably STILL giggling to this day!  

"School of Rock" Mon Class Script Read-Thru

This class was SO much fun!  As we read-thru the script, the students let loose their creativity, and so many ideas were shared & characters brought to life!  This is going to be a great semester, not to mention a WILDLY ENTERTAINING SHOW!!! 

Kolin ("Dewey Finn") and Joe ("Spyder") say Hi to my phone taking their pic.

This guy is a hoot, and you should hear him bust a flow!  It's extra funny because the character that he created is a nerd, which he does equally well!

Ryan and Jacob are good buddies, both in the show and in real life.

And we dive into the script readings!!!

Addison & Ge'Leya rest their heads on Adrienne, who plays "Principal Mullins."  The two girls stayed there throughout the whole class!  I hope Adrienne's leg isn't sore--talk about a supportive cast member!

This is the end of the laughing fit.  Elapsed time of laughter: 4 minutes!

Addison sits up to sing & GiGi re-adjusts her jacket as a pillow on Adrienne's leg.

Landon plays the most HILARIOUS "Yoda" character, and I have ideas to make him look like ET when he was dressed in Elliot's  Mom's clothes.... Landon said he thought that would be hilarious, so this is my new fave part of the show...
